Los Alamitos Museum receives donation from RWC

Los Alamitos Museum Board members Debbie Kent and Marilyn Poe recently spoke at a Rossmoor Woman’s Club meeting about the history of the city and about the museum’s almost-completed renovation. The museum, housed in the city’s former fire station, opened in 1976, and has been undergoing earthquake safety and cosmetic upgrades. The Rossmoor Woman’s Club was instrumental in saving the old fire station and has been a longtime supporter of the museum. After Kent, right, and Poe spoke, woman’s club dean Beverly Rigney, left, presented them with a $1,000 donation for the museum.
